Who we are!

We are a young but ambitious team, which was formed in 2004 and which supports children and their families. There are many children living in the streets and many others who risk ending up in the streets, abandoned by their families.

We wanted to do something! The idea originated from the „Preventing Child Abandonment” project (2000-2003) of the Swiss foundation Terre des Hommes Lausanne, which assisted mothers who were faced with the risk of abandoning their children.

A part of these mothers believed that the help they received during a very difficult period of their lives was truly significant, a fact which determined them to offer their support to other mothers in similar situations.

With this purpose in mind and together with medical and social professionals, they founded the Association for a United Community and Social Intervention (ACSIS)

In 2004, ACSIS was founded as a private, non-governmental, non-profit, legal person. This Association is also neither church-based nor political. It is licensed to function as a supplier of social services.

Our vision

  • every child benefits from care that is appropriate to their needs
  • every parent or future parent has proper knowledge about child care, about the importance of different psychological factors in the development and education of children
  • every parent in a difficult situation benefits from professional support in raising and caring for their children
