914 children enjoyed the interactive theater performances, where puppet-toys made by the beneficiary mothers were used, which were held in kindergartens and schools in Bucharest by a puppeteer actor collaborating with ACSIS

Year 2008:
309 people (106 mothers and 203 children) benefited from the social services which were provided by the Counseling and Support Center and which were aimed at helping mothers overcome the risk of abandoning their children
25 mothers gained manual labor skills by learning to manufacture toys in the workshop of the Association
40 group meetings were organized by ACSIS with the beneficiaries, which were aimed at creating a climate that would favor education, the sharing of experiences and the occurrence of a series of events
Bimonthly sessions of individual social counseling were carried out between the social worker and the mothers
The beneficiaries were identified with the help of the Association’s collaborators :
46 cases were reported to the Association by the General Directorates for Social Assistance and Child Protection
11 cases were directed to ACSIS by different NGOs
36 cases were reported by medical institutions
In 13 cases, people came directly to the Association
15 volunteers were constantly involved in the activities developed by ACSIS.
